Dane Thomas is a nationally recognized Hematology/Oncology Physician Associate with over 15 years of experience in radiation oncology, medical oncology, and hematology. He currently practices at Texas Oncology, caring for patients across the full cancer continuum—from diagnosis through survivorship and advanced care planning. Dane is also a leader and educator in the oncology community. He serves on the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO) Professional Development and Leadership Committee, contributes to national workforce initiatives focused on reducing burnout, and mentors early-career PAs and NPs. He is a faculty speaker for ThriveAP’s Hematology/Oncology onboarding program and a frequent lecturer at national and state conferences on topics such as anemia management, breast cancer advances, cytopenias, survivorship, and end-of-life care. He also serves as a peer reviewer for multiple clinical journals. In 2024, Dane was named America’s Top Heme/Onc PAs.
