I have more than 90 patents and patent applications, which may be reviewed and accessed at https://www,schentag.com/ Notable inventions include cholestosomes, an oral and intracellular targeting system for delivery of proteins, peptides and nucleotides. I have recently co-founded Synergy Therapeutics a cancer company that uses cholestosomes to activate p53 inside cancer cells and thus drive them into apoptosis. We are developing the ch-p53HSA for oral use in synergistic combination with Kinase inhibitors. Our oral cholestosome products target the brain among other organs of interest, and the effects persist inside cells for at least 72hours. Treatments in development include oral and intracellular targeted proteins, peptides and nucleic acids and the ch-p53HSA construct is only one of several examples. For that past 10 years I have been working on pathophysiology and treatment of Metabolic Syndromes and target organ diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, NASH, NAFLD, Hepatitis C, Sepsis, Alzheimer’s disease, MS and ASHD. I am a CRO owner, CPL Associates LLC, conducting Clinical Trials incorporating PK/PD, adaptive design and seamless phase II/III progression. Data analysis and modeling using high end computing. Sensor Technologies as applied to a host of industries, but focused mainly on medical applications in diagnosis and treatment. Pharmaceuticals in clinical stage development for Metabolic syndrome manifestations such as NASH and T2D.
