I am a breast medical oncologist, clinical researcher, and academic physician specializing in breast cancer care and clinical trials. As Director of Breast Medical Oncology and Director of the Breast Cancer Clinical Trials Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, I lead efforts to advance innovative treatment strategies and improve outcomes for patients with breast cancer. My expertise spans early-stage and metastatic breast cancer, hormone receptor-positive disease, HER2-positive and HER2-low breast cancers, triple-negative breast cancer, precision oncology, and biomarker-driven treatment approaches.
I have extensive experience designing and conducting clinical trials, evaluating emerging therapies, and translating scientific discoveries into clinical practice. I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care while advancing research that addresses unmet needs in oncology. In addition to my clinical and research activities, I am actively involved in medical education, advisory boards, and thought leadership initiatives. I regularly provide insights on breast cancer treatment landscapes, drug development, clinical trial strategy, real-world evidence generation, and the adoption of novel oncology therapies.
